Selling Foreign Player with Work Permit
By brikkun - 12-11-2020 11:29
I am considering selling a foreign player for whom I purchased a work permit. If he goes to another local club, would the work permit remain valid? Should I sell him at a slightly higher price given I purchased a work permit for him and he's quite good compared to the other players on the local transfer market?

The purchasing team would need to purchase a work permit if it was required for the player to come to their team. Work permits are only valid for the team purchasing the permit and go away when the player is sold.
Although, that poses an interesting follow up questions. If you re-purchase a player for whom you have previously purchased a work permit, would you be required to purchase another work permit for that player?
My thoughts are that once the player leaves your team the permit goes away. Otherwise you could potentially exceed the allowed permitted players.

That’s exactly what happens. You would need to purchase another permit.
