Arda Göksel Yalman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Garoa in the 14th minute of play. Thomas Ravelli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Berke Gümüşsoy in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute BEŞİKTAŞK were awarded a corner. Harun Elçin went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led BEŞİKTAŞK's Chen Jun Yan to fire away a dangerous shot which Thomas Ravelli despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Chen Jun Yan had several of the S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 19 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Thomas Ravelli as he didn't even see the shot coming. Mümin Ersezen charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mümin Ersezen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r's Mümin Ersezen got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After 26 played minutes S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r got a freekick which was hit by Yavuz Bülent İlkim. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zlatin Ibrahimović in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thomas Ravelli saved S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r from getting behind. Abidin Taşkın made in the 29th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by BEŞİKTAŞK's Garip Yalçınkaya. The audience was convinced that Zlatin Ibrahimović's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thomas Ravelli was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Zlatin Ibrahimović managed to get in a good position for a shot. BEŞİKTAŞK's supporters rose to their feet, but Zlatin Ibrahimović was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomas Ravelli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Zlatin Ibrahimović scored to the left of an out of position Thomas Ravelli, making the score, 3-0. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r's goalkeeper Thomas Ravelli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thomas Ravelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zlatin Ibrahimović, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. BEŞİKTAŞK's Arda Göksel Yalman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salih Asalet in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute Okan Koc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Ravelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomas Ravelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Okan Koc, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute.
