Fidel Havier went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 13th minute, one of Strib Galacticos IF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Strib Galacticos IF. The referee gave Monks in Robes a penalty, 15 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Axel Ree, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Strib Galacticos IF's Janich Sodborg. 1-2. The supporters of Strib Galacticos IF booed when Monks in Robes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Fanøe got free with Kristen Gulskov in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 24 minutes into the match, Axel Ree notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Strib Galacticos IF's Janich Sodborg. Janich Sodborg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A sloppy throw-in by Geir-Inge Tuft in the 30th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Monks in Robes's Júlio de Lara. Axel Ree fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Janich Sodborg having to interfere. If Axel Ree had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Strib Galacticos IF's goalkeeper Janich Sodborg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Johnny Eliasen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Kristen Gulskov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 43 minutes, Axel Ree managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monks in Robes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Ree was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The wind increased when Felix Fanøe made the kick off in the second half. A nice corner shot did that Geir-Inge Tuft got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Kristen Gulskov quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The crowd rose to their feet as Axel Ree kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Janich Sodborg. That made the score 1-4 in the 57 minute of play. If Felix Fanøe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kristen Gulskov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Fanøe, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 80th minute, Axel Ree ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Janich Sodborg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. 85 minutes into the match, Monks in Robes's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Fanøe came free, but Kristen Gulskov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Strib Galacticos IF's zone, Axel Ree stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Janich Sodborg came out of the goal and Axel Ree tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Monks in Robes players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
