Cui Liang Yue could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Benne Benneborg made a huge save. A well-hit corner resulted in Silverio Padro heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Ture Waller put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Per-Erik Hjortberg. Benne Benneborg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cui Liang Yue in the 28th minute of the match. Silverio Padro kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Northland Vikings's Ture Waller sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Per-Erik Hjortberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by Divide et impera's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antonio Čolak was slow to take the kick. During this time Northland Vikings's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ture Waller in the 34th minute of play forced Divide et impera's goalkeeper Per-Erik Hjortberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kennet Albäck might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benne Benneborg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kennet Albäck ran back to his position shaking his head. Divide et impera's Per-Erik Hjortberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ture Waller in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cui Liang Yue to strike the kick off in the second half. Per-Erik Hjortberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ture Lundgren in the 52nd minute. Per-Erik Hjortberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gao Peng Ran in the 84th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Divide et impera's zone, Gao Peng Ran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Per-Erik Hjortberg came out of the goal and Gao Peng Ran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ture Lundgren in the 88th minute of play forced Divide et impera's goalkeeper Per-Erik Hjortberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benne Benneborg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingvar Möllgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Benne Benneborg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conny Telin in the 92nd minute of play. A hard shot 94 in the game by Gao Peng Ran from a close distance when the talented Per-Erik Hjortberg managed to make a qualified save. Divide et impera's players were relieved.
