With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maximilian Borštner in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ferit Çerağ saved Vrhpolje United from getting behind. In the 3rd match minute, Vrhpolje United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Markon to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Keksi Maribor booed when Vrhpolje United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anfilogino Pio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vrhpolje United's goalkeeper Ferit Çerağ, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gilberto Loboda kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Lu Xuan Lei shot a hard long shot which touched the left pole and just rolled over the goal line behind Žika Borštnik. 10 minutes into the game was 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, Keksi Maribor's goalkeeper Žika Borštnik had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arlo Huberto. Cihangir Kuyas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Žika Borštnik firmly grabbed it by the left post. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by Keksi Maribor's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lu Xuan Lei was slow to take the kick. During this time Vrhpolje United's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Vrhpolje United's corner Arlo Huberto fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Žika Borštnik quite easily take care of the ball. Ferit Çerağ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Espiridion Dellasierra in the 19th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Keksi Maribor's goal looked a bit too open when Arlo Huberto came free, but Žika Borštnik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27thth minute of the game Deni Širme who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vrhpolje United's Ferit Çerağ was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Keksi Maribor's goal looked a bit too open when Tarik Ožir came free, but Žika Borštnik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Lu Xuan Lei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Lu Xuan Lei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Keksi Maribor getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Milisav Lovrec hit a great ball. Žika Borštnik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tarik Ožir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Žika Borštnik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cihangir Kuyas in the 38th minute of the match. Keksi Maribor's Žika Borštnik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Keksi Maribor from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cihangir Kuyas was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Espiridion Dellasierra got free with Ferit Çerağ in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Espiridion Dellasierra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferit Çerağ having to interfere. Arlo Huberto took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Žika Borštnik. Žika Borštnik dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 66 minutes into the game, Tarik Ožir was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vrhpolje United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Keksi Maribor the free kick. After 66 played minutes Vrhpolje United got a freekick which was hit by Tarik Ožir. Ferit Çerağ made an important save on a dangerous shot by Espiridion Dellasierra in the 72nd minute. Žika Borštnik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tarik Ožir in the 76th minute of the match. In the 80th minute Arlo Huberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Žika Borštnik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85thth minute of the game Benediktas Misevičius who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Keksi Maribor's Žika Borštnik was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 91st minute of the match Lu Xuan Lei shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Žika Borštnik showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Vrhpolje United's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
