Sometimes I encounter some teams which are much more stronger than mine so that it is impossible to win. These days, I was thinking about the possibility to create a defensive tactic to take the match until the end without to left the opposite team to score a goal.
In real match we can see teams acting like that.
Is it possible? What are your experiences about that? I had tried to put my team in a defensive mentality and a lot of players in the defensive fields but without any success yet.

I tried that before, but no success.
If opponent is way stronger than you, a good striker can pass easily through your players/

Exact, I could see this behavior you mentioned. It seems the defensive mentality does not help to defend as the name "defensive" suggests.
To put more players in the defensive field does not help as well.

Managerzone tactically is rock, paper, scissors game. If you nail tactically then you are theoretically rewarded with a win.
The only way to play defensively is to narrow down opponent players space up front, thats why 5-man defensive line is a must against wing teams.
Example formation:
Against short passing you can play similarly and remove wing backs.
Using defensive mentality basically makes defenders pass the ball between each other until opoonent is able to intercept the ball in your half of the field which will cause you trouble.
